We promise to keep bringing you the most up to date news and tournament information on the web. There are other sites out there providing content, but none with the commitment we have here to providing you with only the most current schedules and news. Last night WallStreet and I headed over to the Borgata to check out the scene at the Winter Open. We arrived to find a very nice set up. Since we arrived just short of 7pm we decided to play the small second chance tournament. This ran very smooth considering the fact that it is an after thought compared to the rest of the tournaments. At the same time we were playing the $500 main event, a $520 satellite into the $5000 + 200 main event taking place today, and then the final table of the $2500 main event from two days ago. Needless to say the room was packed.

There was a lot of star power at the Borg last night. Hevad Khan was playing the $500 event and doing quite well, Barry Greenstein and Eric Lindgren were sitting in the high limit room playing what appeared to be some type of mixed game. At the table next to them were Jamie Gold and Layne Flack.

Speaking of Jamie Gold, his mother was upstairs with us playing the second chance tournament; in fact, she was sitting at WallStreet’s table. They got a pretty large field for this tourney of about 230. WallStreet went out with about 120 remaining, and who was he busted by? That’s right, you guessed it, Jane Gold. Feel free to post your free shot at him in the forum for this. The truth of it is that she might have outlasted me as well. I went out in about 70th. I attribute my lackluster performance to a combination of being card dead and just flat out poor play. I got aggressive in all of the wrong spots, and played much too passively when I had great opportunities to steal decent size pots.
